I had a lucid dream on 07/19/2011 during a quick nap before dinner
I was towards the end of my napping, knowing I left my door half open for the noises to wake up when my Ma came home before dinner. My Ma came home about an hour later and I woke up hearing her in the kitchen as they were getting ready to set the table for dinner. I stepped out of bed and headed towards the kitchen and said hello to everyone while I grabbed myself a plate. The food was sweet and I noticed I was eating sesame seasoned chicken. (Sweet like the lemon sauce we actually had for dinner that was new). I remember being so tired that I feel asleep eating the chicken, and woke up back in my bed again when Carly and the kids came by. I knew I would be jumped on by Gavin or Jaylin or hear the call of my name from my cousin. For a moment I had a waterbed and I remember Jaylin- or someone- pressing down on the bed to make a wave effect during my sleep. I slowly started to smile in my sleep by surprise of how gentle I was being woken up; then soon acknowledge that I wasn’t ready to be woken up and quick tried to hide my smile.
I awoke in a different house with the cozy earthy feel of my Grandmom’s. My best friend’s step father was fixing some electronic by the TV stand. I asked him what he was doing, but like usual he didn’t realize I was talking to him. I called his name and got a faint mumbled explanation. I turned and saw my mom and a type of father figure doing things in the kitchen and let them know that I’m going out and would return soon. It was dark outside, walking towards the mailbox. One single light was visible in the whole area, and I was walking on wooden boards with the smell of salty breeze. It felt like tropical summer-fall weather, warm but comfortable to wear a knit sweater and shorts. There was a young woman standing by the mailbox and I asked her if I could turn off this light, knowing there was a black little light switch on the side of the wooden lamp post, next to the mailbox. I didn’t remember hearing her reply but noticed she would need the light to check her mail. Distracted by my thoughts, I started walking towards a little shop. I was about to open the door the the shop when I heard voices of laughter and carrying on to my right, when I looked down there was a sandy passage to what seemed to be a jungle-like beach. I stepped my feet in the sand and jogged curiously out beyond the trees to the water. I saw dark, tall figures to my left of people walking towards their ocean front home. To my right were a group of men parading around the shoreline. In front of me was a mother and a child walking through the shallow water. I remember being happy to have found a beautiful scenery with an enchanting atmosphere, and thankful that it was peaceful to feel alone, and on my very own adventure. The ocean started to swell and I felt a humongous wave coming on. I turned around to head towards the tree line and remember it knocking me down- but nothing hurt, and it wasn’t meant to be painful. I saw the water slide down past me and my legs and feet.
Then I woke up.
